Five Minute Friday: Broken
I came across him just tonight when I moved the rug. The little guy with the broken foot. I don’t know how it happened. He was fine this morning, but the reality is that this does happen.
Things get broken.
People get broken.
We live in a broken world that longs to be fixed. The only thing that can fix it is more of Jesus, more of the life transforming gospel lived out in real ways by true followers of Jesus.
Ones who can find what is broken and redeem it with the Gospel. Not that we are redeeming it at all, but we are the hands and feet of Jesus that bring the Gospel to this broken world. We are called to bring this Good News so that we the broken don’t continue to lie around in ruin like the lost toy under the rug.
We have to stop hiding under the rug, reveal our own broken-ness, take what we know of the gospel and allow it to bring light to the dark, bind up the brokenhearted and allow God to be glorified even in our own broken-ness.
Are you willing to show your own broken-ness?
